1. Space-Based PricingFigure out how much cubic or square footage the tents take in your warehouse.Storage industry averages:Per square foot: $8 $15 per year (basic dry warehouse space).
Per pallet: $15 $25 per month (if stored palletized).If tents take two pallets worth of space, you d be around $30 $50/month minimum just for raw space.
2. Condition & Protection ValueTent tops are fabric, so climate-controlled or protected space justifies higher rates.Frames are bulky and heavy extra handling time should be factored in.
You could add 25 50% more if you re:Rolling/wrapping tops properly,Keeping them labeled/organized,Ensuring they re dry (preventing mildew).
3. Handling FeeCharge separately (one-time or per pull):Pull & Return Fee: $25 $75 each time they need their tent.If you re cleaning before storage, that should be an additional cleaning charge.
4. Suggested Pricing ModelDepending on how you want to present it, here are two options:Option A Simple Flat Rate (per tent)$50 $100/month per tent (top + frame) depending on size.
Option B ItemizedTent Top: $25 $50/month each (depending on size).Frame: $25 $50/month each (depending on size/space).Handling fee: $50 per pull.
5. Check Your CostsWarehouse sq ft cost (rent/mortgage, utilities, insurance).Labor for handling.Compare against local self-storage rates (often $80 $200/month for a 10x10 unit).That way your price is both competitive and reflects your value-add (clean/dry/organized, accessible, insured).
